Comedy Night with Joel Chasnoff
Wednesday, June 16, 2021
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM – CBJ Annual Congregation Meeting
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM – ZOOM Comedy Show
Join us and enjoy an early-summer night of comedy and support this CBJ fundraiser event featuring internationally known comedian, Joel Chasnoff (via Zoom)!
A comedic deep dive into the absurdities of Jewish Life. Hilarious recollections from his great grandparents’ botched immigration at Ellis Island to serving in the IDF unit he nicknamed “The 188th Crybaby Brigade,” to the challenges of raising a Jewish family of his own, Joel Chasnoff comes to us directly from the “Land of Milk and Funny”! Since the start of the pandemic, Joel has performed more than a hundred comedy shows on Zoom. When he performs online, his goal is the same as when doing a show live: to create community through laughter.
A Chicago native, Joel has performed on stage and screen in 9 countries, including two off-Broadway shows, a USO comedy tour of Japan and Korea, more than 1,000 Jewish events in North America and Europe, and Israel. Meet and Learn more about Joel here.
Following our 7:00pm Annual Meeting, at 8:00pm, we will welcome our star attraction, Joel's comedy set! The show will wrap up about 8:45pm and then followed by a 10–15-minute Q/A which will give everyone a chance to chat with Joel and ask any questions.
All that sign up will receive an email, prior to the event, with the ZOOM link and password.
We hope you enjoyed the show!
We want everyone to join us! If your budget does not support the $36 donation, click on the “Other” amount, and then enter an amount that is comfortable for you in the form field.
