A Warm Welcome Awaits You
At B'nai Jacob we like to say, "Come as you are." If you identify as a Conservative Jew, we welcome you. If you are not Jewish, we welcome you. If you are Orthodox, Reform, Reconstructionist or non-denominational Jew, we welcome you. If you are a life-long observer of Jewish traditions, we welcome you. If you are returning to your heritage after years away, we welcome you.
We at B'nai Jacob are an eclectic group. Some of us come for prayer, and some of come for learning. Some of us come to celebrate special moments in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Some of us come to make new friends. Some come to cook meals for the elderly. Some of us come to make sure our children know where their grandparents came from. No matter what brings us in the door, we stay because we love the powerful feeling of being a part of a Jewish community. We stay because B'nai Jacob is our home.
We invite you to join us for services, a tour of our Religious School, or any of our exciting events. We encourage you to contact us either by phone at (610) 933-5550 or email at admin@congbj.org, so that we can talk with you further about our unique community.
Here is what some members have to say about CBJ:
“I’ve been a member of B’nai Jacob for over 50 years. I have served as President and am currently the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. B’nai Jacob has been my Jewish home for most of my adult life; it is where my closest friends are. Even my children, who no longer live near here, keep in touch with Congregation friends they grew up with.” - Joe, age 82
“As the non-Jewish member of our interfaith family, I could not ask for anything more from Congregation B’nai Jacob. The atmosphere and members within the synagogue have always been welcoming and respectful of my family and myself. Through my family’s involvement at CBJ, my understanding and knowledge of the Jewish faith and traditions have brought our family closer together.” - Jeff, age 36
“Being a part of my youth group at B’nai Jacob has been a life-changing experience! Along with attending conventions, I also went on a six-week Mitzvah trip with USYers from around the world. Through my involvement with USY both at B’nai Jacob and on a national level, I have grown as both a leader and as a Jewish person.” – Elaina, age 16
