The CBJ Religious School

B’nai Jacob’s Macy B. Solomon Religious School provides a positive Jewish environment in which students can find support and understanding toward developing their Jewish identity. Classes provide answers and experiences to expand students' understanding of the values, ethics and lifestyle of the Conservative Jew.

The school guides students toward establishing the Jewish sense of community and provides opportunities to translate values into actions. Students also learn the practical skills and understanding to participate and to lead in Jewish home and synagogue services, rituals, life cycle events and holiday observances.

Teachers present the students selected source materials from which Jews and Judaism draw their uniqueness and life view. They incorporate activities that help students feel part of the Jewish people in general - and guide them in creating a positive identification and relationship with Israel, in particular. The ultimate goal of the school is to make the synagogue an important focal point in the students' lives.
